After moving to New York City from his UK base Birmingham in his early twenties, Carl Kennedy got caught up in the New York house music scene, which led him to strike lucky when his musical influence and inspiration Roger Sanchez himself signed Carl’s first release ‘The Love You Bring’ to Stealth Records. Since then he’s been paving the road to international DJ stardom, bringing one dance floor anthem after another. Not only have Carl’s records been released by industry heavyweights such as Toolroom, Stealth, Ministry of Sound and CR2 Records, but Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Records has become a regular source of Carl Kennedy releases; ‘Blackwater’, ‘Ride The Storm’, ‘Banta Boom’ and the latest dance floor pleaser ‘Once Upon A Time’.

Subliminal Records is the brainchild of visionary house music producer and DJ Erick Morillo. Launched in 2007, Subliminal has spanned both homegrown American tracks and European releases like Pete Heller’s ‘Big Love’, ‘I Feel For You’ by Bob Sinclar and Gadjo’s ‘So Many Times’. Lately the label has struck big with Live Your Life and Stronger by Erick Morillo and Eddie Thoneick featuring Shawnee Taylor and the new SYMPHO NYMPHO trio of Erick Morillo, Harry Romero and Jose Nunez.
