DJ DAVE KING-EMBARGO DJ TEAM
Toinet David was born in 1973 in savoy, France.
He starts his career of dj in alsace in 1992.
His first work experience is at the Fire's Club, a leader club at that time. It is then that he meets Michel Laubacher, with whom he still keeps in close touch.
1995-1996: After years of good and loyal services, he becomes the managing director of the first so called "techno club" of the east of france: LA FERIA. There, he discovers the german and belgium sound. It is his first step towards his musical style despit his disco and funky influences. He, as well, discovers KLF , the label BONZAI RECORDS, COMMANDER TOM, CHERRYMOON ect....
1996-1997: Because of his military services, it is the end of his transition year of dj'ing. This allows him to get to know his future associate, Philippe Beaureperre, owner of a record shop in Strasbourg. Being transfered in this town, he spends his spare time listening to new releases as: Culture beat, Power American Natives, God's Grooves, Ramirez ect....It is then that he makes his first remixes and megamixes, marking his career to come.
1998-2000: Despite a year off, he comes back and manages the CEASAR PALACE in Mulhouse, a generalist club with a vocation of being ahead of its time and always in search of new sound. There are his best years of DJ'ing. He then organises the X-TREM VIBRATIONS nights which are the prestigius parties of the club. Its success allows him to meet and to know renowned Djs as YVES DERUYTER, PAUL VAN DIK, PUSH, JACK DE MARSEILLE ect... During that time, he sets up his first recording studio and produces he first tracks: DA DRUM BOY, ML KING,
KGB, CRAZY BACON, ect... Despite a rough start as producer, he holds on and creates a label with Philippe and Michel: CLUBTRAXX RECORDS. They create as well in the end of 1998 the band EMBARGO! which is a immediate success from many Europe countries to the United States. He becomes renowned internationaly, and finds himself booked in the biggest raves
and clubs of the world: COLOMBIA-UK-GERMANY-FRANCE-TURQUIE-BELGIUM-RUSSIA.
His best memory will always be in Lievin in france in front of 35.000 people.
2000-2002: Despite being very booked, he becomes resident at the TUNNEL, a 100% techno trance club at the top of the technology in sound system and decoration. It becomes the club of his musicalfrenzy.
Producing is now his main activity, he produces DJ FLEX, FARGO, AUSTRAL, MILKY WAY, and off course EMBARGO! (hysterie-blackout-scream) and the album TECHNOLOGY.

Michel LAUBACHER, originaire d'Alsace, a débuté dans le milieu de la nuit à l'age de 19 ans en 1984. Il est résident dans différents clubs et discothèques de sa région pour des périodes plus ou moins longues, dont les plus connus et plus fréquentés de l'époque en France sont :
-"Le Queen's" -"Le Palladium" -"Fire's Club"-"Manhattan"-"Poisson Rouge"
-"Le Niagara"-"American Dream".
En 1993, il rejoint l'équipe du "Macumba" à St JULIEN EN GENEVOIS (74) près de la frontière franco-suisse.
De la Savoie, il revient dans l'est de la France en 1994 au "César Palace" à St-AVOLD (57). Il fait l'ouverture de "L'ETOILE" (57) en 1995 : il y réside pendant 6 ans et y organise des soirées mythiques pendant lesquelles il accueille des DJ de toute l'Europe tel que Robert Miles, Franco Moriaghi,
Alex Natale, Claudio Coccoluto, Jack de Marseille, Yves deruyter, Tonio, Kay tracid, Mellow D, etc...
Il commence avec un style très généraliste mais son esprit avant-gardiste se fait ressentir dans sa progammation musicale : il essaie d'avoir dans ses bacs ce qui n'est pas encore à la mode mais qui le sera. On comprend pourquoi son évolution musicale calque celle des tendances : italo-dance, dance francaise, euro-dance,new-wave, toutes les nouveautés l'attirent.
Mais c'est avec l'arrivée de la techno et de la house qu'il s'affirme et trouve son style : la techno-trance et la house-pumping.
En 1999, il forme avec Philippe BEAUREPERRE et David TOINET le groupe EMBARGO! dont le style musical est techno-club. Le premier single, du même nom du groupe, se vend à plus de 120 000 exemplaires et le second "Hystérie" à plus 80 000, faisant d'eux le groupe techno n°1 des clubs en Belgique d'abord puis en France.
De là, suivent les dates à travers toute la France mais aussi à l'étranger, le plus souvent en discothèque mais aussi pour de grosses soirées évènementielles:
- Goliath, Highway, Atlantis, Street Parade, Palladium (Switzerland).
- Royal Dance Party (contact fm), M6 Halloween Party (france), Clubsystem (Belgique).
- Les Clubs: Opera Night, Styliss, Macumba, Pam Pam, Subway, Podium 2000 (France).
A65 (Germany), Fun Planet (Switzerland), Revolution (Belgique).
Egalement, Michel travaille en collaboration avec Yannick FELS sur le concept FARGO dont le style musicale est plus trance. Ils co-produisent avec EMBARGO! :
-"Come on"
-"Follow me"
-"Can't control"
Pour l'expérience acquise durant toutes ces années, Michel est sollicité par PIONEER pour excécuter des démonstrations de leurs nouveaux produits : CD, table de mixages, etc...
Aussi, fait-on aujourd'hui appel à lui pour organiser des soirées d'un tout autre style, notamment les soirées "Jet Set" au Casino d' Amnéville car Michel a su développer un grand sens, très apprécié, du relationnel et du contact humain..
