Biographie: During the course of his 11 year activity as a DJ, Moguai has achieved an international standing amongst clubbers and music collegues. His innovative DJ sets can be described as a mixture of Tech to Progressive house crossover sounds.
He is one of Germany’s most reknowned radio DJs, playing at Eins Live Radio (Cologne) a four hour set every month.
With his first EP produced back in ’93, “Best before End” Important Rec.sold more than 6000 vinyl copies. His first Video clip was produced by artists of the X-Mix and was frequently aired on MTV & Viva. A common belief in their music bought together Moguai with Phil Fuldner in 1995. Success was just around the corner. In ’98 they had their first Top 10 hit “The Final / Captain Future Theme” which charted at Number 7 of the Media Control Charts. This establised them into a firm production team.
Further successful own productions followed for Ministry of Sound, Kosmo, EastWest, Positiva, Additive, Virgin to name a few.
His productions under “Dial M 4 Moguai” like “The Beatbox” became the first club stormers and others followed including “King of Rock, Bang the Drum, Into Another/Tall calls Moguai” became instant club classics.
The UK scene followed with licensing requests including Moguai’s productions onto compilations like “Clubbers Guide to Ibiza, World’s Most Famous DJs, The Annual”.
It was only natural that remix work followed, artists like Timo Maas “Orinoko Island”, Dreamcatcher, Luzon, Cosmic Baby, BBE and most recently Fisher & Spooner. Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1) chose Moguai’s remix of the track “Island” Timo Maas as Essential Tune of the Month.
Most recently, Moguai has founded his own label: PUNX as a platform for innovative club tracks that are uncatagorised in the existing catalogue of Music titles,. Selling over 2000 of their first release, “Moguai Pres. PUNX - The Rock” being a sellout in its first week, and being relicensed to Eastwest prior to the release. Punx is definatley something to watch out for...
