Sean Tyas joins Armada Bookings

Just 10 short weeks after opening their doors, Armada Bookings are delighted to welcome onboard the 45th biggest spinner in the world (source: DJ Magazine Top 100 2009). Through floor-inflaming tracks like ‘Ivy’ & ‘Tingle’ and many a lauded remix, the American-born, Swiss-based producer has established a rock solid relationship with Armada’s label division. It’s one that will now continue on the DJ side thru Armada Bookings…
Sean says on the move:
“Over the last several years my relationship with Armada and its team has grown tremendously. It’s such a close-knit family feeling within this very cold, aggressive business. Coming onto Armada Bookings was the logical choice, and it’s great to join up with Lara van Bruggen and the terrific DJ roster she has put together. I can’t wait to see what the future brings, and I’m thrilled about this new level of relationship we have attained.”
Tyas’ rise has been as rapid as it has been surefooted. A relative unknown just four years ago, that has been changed out of hand by a succession of floor-blazing tracks (inc. his breakthrough ‘Lift’ & the Armin van Buuren collaboration ‘Intricacy’) and universally esteemed remix work for (among others) Tiësto, Gareth Emery & 4 Strings. Additional pressure has been lent by his wide-reaching Tytanium radio show (which premieres on Sirius/XM’s A State of Sundays in October ‘10), a hugely-received Essential Mix and naturally hundreds upon hundreds of ballistic, ebullient DJ sets.
Its these sets have sent Tyas around the planet many times and seen him spin at some of the most respected & high-profile clubs, events and festivals out there. Among them has been the main stage of Trance Energy, ASOTs 350 & 450, Amnesia & Eden in Ibiza, E.D.C. in LA and M.O.S. in London. It’s the cumulative nature of all these factors that left Armada Bookings General Manager, Lara van Bruggen in no doubt that Tyas’ star will rise much further… On signing him she said: “Sean has all the talent necessary to become one of the biggest DJs out there. His technical skill, ability to read dancefloors and to outright entertain is second to few. I believe what we’ve seen from him so far is merely the tip of the iceberg. I’m delighted to welcome him to Armada Bookings and in doing so look forward to helping progress his career on to even greater heights..
