Arno Cost & Norman Doray: letzte Neuigkeiten

In Kürze: Arno Cost and Norman Doray might not instantly be the first names to roll off the tongue when asked to name the producers behind some of today’s biggest clubland anthems, but no one can deny that trac.

Vollständig: Arno Cost and Norman Doray might not instantly be the first names to roll off the tongue when asked to name the producers behind some of today’s biggest clubland anthems, but no one can deny that tracks such as ‘Magenta’, ‘Apocalypse’ and this years ‘Cyan’ and ‘Last Forever’ (which featured the vocal talents of Errol Reid), have been worthy accolades of Pete Tong’s coveted ‘Essential New Tune’ and gone on to become undeniable peak time ‘killers’ for an enormous number of DJ’s.

Relatively new to the dance industry Arno Cost broke into the scene in 2006 and since then has quickly moulded his reputation as one of the scenes most promising young talents. With his musical sensibilities residing within the realms of electronica, disco and house, Arnos’ production and remix work has attracted praise from some of dance music’s most formidable figures, including Pete Tong, Tom Novy and Sebastian Ingrosso. Not to mention his demand to be seen performing in Europes most glittered nightclubs, which included several dates for Cream, Amnesia in Ibiza this Summer.

His partner in crime Norman Doray began his DJ career a few years previously to Arno in 2002. Proving to be a natural, just a year later Norman had secured residency at a club in Lille where he honed in on those expert skills we see today. By 2004 he was on the move, playing a number of clubs both on home turf and abroad, whilst making his first steps production wise too. In 2006, his first track ‘In the name of love’, a collaboration with friend Pierre De La Touche, was released on German label Starfunk Records.

It was in 2006 that Cr2 received a demo of ‘Magenta’, and Mark Brown wasted no time in signing Arno Cost to the label, which in turn led to Norman following closely behind.

So, with another highly successful year under their belt which has seen a packed international schedule for them individually as DJ’s – Cr2 have invited Arno & Norman to mix the next instalment in their LIVE & DIRECT compilation series. This is the eleventh release in the series following on from big summer albums featuring all of Cr2’s Ibiza 2009 hits as well as a prestigious release of the Space Ibiza 2009 compilation.

Arno and Norman are young, full of energy and always have a mischievous twinkle in their eyes. Their DJ sets guarantee feel good music with power, passion and emotion. On this, their first mix compilation together, they take control of one disc each to showcase their own individual styles, which compliment each other brilliantly.

As an exclusive bonus for this album the guys have re-worked the mighty ‘Woz not Woz’, which was one of Cr2’s biggest selling records back when the label was launched in 2004. This huge remix features one of the biggest breakdowns in a track this whole summer, which builds and builds, teasing the crowd and whipping up a storm on the dancefloor, a vision the guys relish and one that epitomises their style behind the decks.

The release of this album will be supported by a full international LIVE & DIRECT club tour, dates for which will be available from the Cr2 website.
