Barcelona producer releases three new tracks on John Digweed´s label.
Marc Marzenit is ending 2009 in a spectacular way. BEDROCK Records - the prestigious English label headed by John Digweed – now enters the fray of worldwide music with three new tracks from the talented young Catalan electronic producer.
Bedrock proudly celebrates its eleventh anniversary, editing three mixed CDs, designed, selected and mixed by Digweed, in which Marzenit boasts an outstanding participation including three sensational musical passages: Not Assigned, Expiritualized and Unexperitualized. The three pieces are immersed in a fascinating track-list that includes artists such as Christian Smith & John Selway, Marco Bailey, Guy J, James Zabiela, Giorgos Gatzigristos, Henry Saiz and Guy Gerber, among others. Bedrock also launches limited editions of six 12", in which Marzenit has the honour of being the first artist to release an EP containing those three tracks.
In addition, the techno Kaiser SVEN VÄTH, has selected Not Assigned as one of the tunes to be included in the track-list of his new, double, mixed CD THE SOUND OF THE TENTH SEASON (Cocoon Recordings), an album mixed, selected and edited by Sven Väth himself. Not Assigned will appear on CD1, Noche, a Cocoon Ibiza-night compilation. And in the album’s press release, the famous German producer names Marc as an artist to look out for in 2010. Now, more than ever, as Marzenit´s career hits the heights, a look at his future is enough to produce a real case of vertigo.
As he passes through BEDROCK and COCOON, we find that Marzenit is consolidating his very own particular and fascinating sound. These three tracks, besides boasting a powerful new mechanical sound and synthetic weight, are real musical carats. From the habitual forcefulness and sobriety of Detroit techno, to a redressed emo-trance production, Marzenit continues contributing the essential elements to the tech-Olympus: commotion, mystery and a light that is so dark it gleams. Not Assigned is the best proof of that.
The incorporation of unpublished vocal elements and sharp electronic melodies - that seem to be surfing on a suggestive electrical wave- are the stand-out elements of the two amazing tracks: Expiritualized and Unexpiritualized. They are like two sides of a coin that will always fall on their feet on the dancefloor
