The Montreux Jazz Festival and SPOT On Denmark have started a new collaboration, to promote Danish and Swiss music across their respective borders.
SPOT On Denmark is the international showcase platform of the SPOT Festival, which is owned and produced by ROSA – The Danish Rock Council and associated with MXD – Music Export Denmark
SPOT Festival is an internationally renowned festival, which main aim is to promote Danish and Scandinavian music to international music industry professionals and journalists. The festival has existed for 15 years. Located in the heart of Aarhus city, with indoor and open air stages, it attracts approx. 5000 fans and over 1000 professionals each year.
Montreux Jazz Festival visited this years SPOT Festival, and due to this new collaboration, the 2009 edition of Montreux Jazz festival will on 17 July be hosting a SPOT On Denmark night at the Montreux Jazz Café feat. two Danish bands:
As In RebekkaMaria and The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. Both acts are fronted by colourful Danish Divas producing and performing bubbling intelligent pop.
SPOT Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival are looking to recruit a Swiss press jury to send to Aarhus, Denmark for next years SPOT Festival, in order to find the Danish acts for 2010’s SPOT On Denmark at Montreux Jazz Festival. You want in? Then join the press conference and we’ll tell you how..
