Luke Walker bringt zwei neue EPs

In Kürze: Mit seinen neuen Platten 'Find your Way' und 'Love not Lost' meldet sich Luke Walker zusammen mit dem Label Gung-Ho! Recordings zurück..

Vollständig: Up front label Gung-ho! Fresh from its mega-success with Japanese Popstars (and just about everything else it releases) is back with a solid release from New Zealand born / London based uber-producer Luke Walker.

Fitting in with Gung-ho!’s ethos of catapulting burgeoning talent into the consciousness of music-lovers throughout the land; it lends its love this time around to Luke’s latest stellar studio efforts – ‘Find your Way’ / ‘Love not Lost’ .

‘Find your Way’ moves its way through lush deep swooshes to lo-fi deliciousness with a dare we say it (yes we will) an almost old skool snippet of a tribal vocal. With support from Radio 1 as well as other key stations globally (Radio FG – Paris, Kiss FM – Melbourne) to name but a few you can expect to get massively happy hearing this throughout Autumn and winter ’08.

‘Love not Lost’ is another solid track for the dance floor that completes this package from Walker for Gung-ho!

Additional info:

Luke’s first break came when Underwater Records signed his first EP ‘Alias’. The release was critically acclaimed receiving major support from all the big names. ‘Alias’ was the number 3 highest selling download on Beatport.com for 2005. From Glastonbury to Gisbourne, the track was played by the who’s who’s of the electronic world with iDJ magazine describing the record as ‘a perfectly produced blend of heavy duty techno, electro, house and breaks’.

From here, Luke wrote two EP’s with DJ Loki for Gang-Ho! (‘Seamrider’ and ‘Mayhem’ respectively). ‘Mayhem’ made its way into the DMC buzz chart of the ‘coolest and biggest’ tracks of the WMC. It also made the DMC UK New Release Buzz Chart and the Cool Cuts chart.

2008 has seen him DJing in Japan, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Thailand, London and New Zealand.

Luke’s DJ sets range from quality electro to spaced out disco to rolling, big room techno. He has supported King Unique, Tocadisco, Thomas Schumacher, Aquasky, Axwell, John Digweed, Deetron, René Amez and Atomic Hooligan.

New Zealanders Greg Churchill and Tim Richards have waded in on the remixes. Expect Greg Churchill huge room sound and a quality housier version by Tim Richards...

On the remix front, Luke has delivered for Magik Johnson, Gusgus and Angela Fisken. The Gusgus remix was selected for the MOS Ibiza annual 2007 and the Global Underground’s GUMixed2 Compilation. It also opens Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romeo’s MOS Sessions mix and was included in Hussle’s release of the single.
