Ministry of Sound's Predictions for 2007

In Kürze: ....

Vollständig: Following on from yesterday’s predictions for the tracks and producers blowing the scene in the coming year, we continue with our predictions for 2007: April- May -Spring to Summer

De Souza Feat. Shena ‘Guilty’ is released on 2nd April and is widely tipped to be the next Shapeshifters / Spiller of 2007. Its fusion of infectious strings and lush vocals from heavenly house diva Shena- famous for her vocal on Michael Gray’s ‘The Weekend’- is already a regular in Pete Tong’s record box, making it into his Essential Tune, as well as Dangerous Dave Pearce’s Dance Anthems show. All indications point to the record is setting up to climb into the shoes of successful predecessors such as Lola's theme.

Heading further in April and edging closer to summer, comes one of the most anticipated records of the entire year, Dada Feat. Sandy Rivera ‘Lollipop’ due for released on 23rd April. After a frenzied bidding war involving every one of the major labels, Ministry of Sound successfully secured one of the most ground braking dance records of the year. Kings of Tomorrow aka Sandy Rivera, delivers a punchy vocal, while highly tipped female singer Trixx adds her owns quirky verse to a hook ridden, sexy minimal driver of a track. Already enjoying fame as Pete Tong’s "Essential New Tune" and "Weekend Anthem", Dada has also received a large amount of support across regional dance shows and shows all the signs of being a future Number 1.

Spektrum ‘Kinda New’ gets its commercial released on 7th May after massive success on the underground. The Tiefschwarz dub mix endured throughout club and radio land and is still a regular hit on dance floors and in the record boxes of DJs all over the land. Reworked by Australian electro producers Dirty South, with a full vocal ad, watch out for this track ripping up the land in spring, heating up the sinews for the Ibizan summer!

In May another track that has been bubbling away for around a year, Freaks ‘The Creeps’ also gets a remix from Vandalism aka Andy Van (of Madison Avenue fame), that makes this record into yet another major electro record that could easily cross over to radio and chart success. Freaks ‘The Creeps’ is released 21st May.

Another hot track to mix is from London filth meisters the Hoxton Whores whose ‘Friday Saturday Love’ date is as yet unreleased but is again becoming a top topic on industry notes. A brand new signing to Ministry of Sound, the Hoxton released the instrumental to the underground to cult acclaim and are now in the process of working a fearsome vocal that the likes of Pete Tong are sure to hammer. Watch out for Hoxton Whores top 10 chart success later in the year!! .
