Jean Claude Ades and Vanjee have established reputations as two of the finest international DJs in the world. Whilst Israeli native but NYC resident Vanjee has been hailed as one of New York’s leading DJ’s and Jean Claude has enjoyed epic international success with remixes for the likes of the Deadmau5 and a string of Beatport #1’s. Here on ‘Mend’, both powerhouses join forces on a deep house track that does justice to their skill and reputation.
It is worthy to note that Mend is a remake of Elsiane’s original that first appeared on the Hybrid album (2007). Here in this rework Elsiane’s signature unique vocals once again instantly adds emotion and a beautiful floating tone to the duo’s warm and powerful production.
On the remix front, DJ Kellerkind, aka Marco Biagini, the Swiss DJ (known for his international success with the Backflash EP on Stil vor Talent), provides contrast with a superb rerub of the original. His Slap Bass remix is deep House at is finest. Known most famously for producing powerful emotive club music, his emphasis of bass and the vocals in ‘Mend’ creates a much deeper dreamier sound.
