UMEK is a man that needs no introduction as he has firmly established himself as one of the world’s finest DJ/producers, pioneering the global dance scene with his own very special brand of peak-time vanguard Techno.

The innovative Slovenian (also know as “The Father”) has had a hugely successful career to date, achieving numerous accolades including having the pleasure to release a multitude of music on some of the world’s finest dance label’s such as; Cocoon, Intec, CLR, Terminal M, Astrodisco, Dataworx, Great Stuff and Toolroom and the privilege to perform at the world’s leading clubs/events many times over such as; Ministry Of Sound, UK, Global Gathering, UK, Dance Valley, Holland, Electric Daisy Carnival, USA, Escape from Wonderland, USA and Space, Ibiza, where he currently holds his sophomore residency playing for Carl Cox’s legendary “Revolution” night.

However the accolades don’t stop there, as the Techno superstar has also remained a regular fixture in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs Poll for over a decade and has won two Beatport Music Awards – last year for ‘Best Techno Artist’ and this year for “Artist Of The Year” which he won by staff pick beating off competition from the likes of; David Guetta, Deadmau5 and Mark Knight


When UMEK isn’t busy performing to thousands of people across the globe every week he’s spending time focusing on his 1605 Music Therapy – Sixteenofive, imprint which he launched in 2007 and marked the beginning of the second era of his music creation. After almost five years, the label is tagged as a great success and is one of the world’s fastest growing techno labels, which spawns releases and new talents almost every week.

Not one to rest on his laurels, the Techno titan is always aiming to please his fans and impress new ones by constantly evolving his sound.
