Armada Music: nominated for 12 WMC IDMA awards

In Kürze: Music received 18 nominations for the 2011 edition of the annual International Dance Music Awards.

Vollständig: Amsterdam, January 25th 2011 - Armada Music received 18 nominations for the 2011 edition of the annual International Dance Music Awards. Nominated in 12 different categories, the Dutch record company is in the running for a hat trick for 'Best Global Record Label'. Maykel Piron, Managing Director and co-owner of Armada Music, won the IDMA for 'Best Record Label Promoter or Exec In-House' in 2010 and is nominated in this category for 2011 as well.

Armin van Buuren received 8 nominations, amongst that for 'Best Global DJ', 'Best Producer' and 'Best Trance Track' on his collab with Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The single, 'Not Giving Up On Love', is also nominated for 'Best Commercial Dance Track'. Other categories in which Armin is nominated are: 'Best European DJ', 'Best Radio Mix Show DJ' for A State of Trance, 'Best Full Length DJ Mix' for his A State of Trance 2010 compilation and 'Best Podcast' for the A State of Trance Podcast.

Dash Berlin, who entered the DJ Mag top 100 as a new entry at number 15 and won the IDMA for 'Best Hi/NRG Track' last year, is now nominated for 'Best European DJ'.

Markus Schulz, who'll release his 'Prague 11' compilation in February, is in the running for an International Dance Music Award for 'Best Global DJ', 'Best Radio Mix Show DJ' for his Global DJ Broadcast radioshow and has his track 'Rain' nominated for 'Best Trance Track'.

Napith Music, the affiliated North-American record label, is nominated for 'Best Progressive Track' and 'Best Commercial Dance Track' for Tim Berg's hit 'Bromance' and its vocal version 'Seek Bromance'.
